Lantis's Age?
Has there ever been an official age given for Lantis in anime or manga? I don't recall one in the anime, and I highly prefer it to the manga, so if it's in the manga I don't remember/know it. XD; I'm in the middle of an MKR rewatch and it suddenly occurred to me to wonder how much older he is than Hikaru. I was thinking maybe a 10-year difference and he's 25, but I could be way off.

(Also, is Hikaru 15 during the anime version of the second season? I noticed they're being very vague about how much time has passed, and I'm left with the impression that it wasn't a year between seasons in the anime....)

It' s never been mentioned how old he is...but I also think that he is 24-25. He looks it. Really.

A month passes between the 1st and the 2nd season as is stated in the anime before they go to Cephiro again. Hikaru's 14 and a few months (she's born in August as stated by the manga and since they're all wearing long sleeved uniforms, I'm guessing that the it's autumn or winter) all the way till the anime ends...when she's almost 16 or so.

P.S: I don't recall one in the anime, and I highly prefer it to the manga

♥ ♥ ♥ I adore the anime and would pick over the manga any day...xDDD

Oh, interesting! A month makes much more sense. I obviously missed that. I just don't know how the girls stood it for a whole year in the manga.

♥ The manga is just so *short.* ;___; It felt like they were rushing everything. But that's how I feel about almost every manga, honestly. XD; There seems to be more character development in the anime too, and ... I have a special fondness for Nova. One of my favorite OCs of mine (for another fandom, and hopefully someday original fic) was directly inspired by her.

Yep. I write in this fandom so I rewatched the series plenty of times and got all the details I could find noted down in my mind. Don't feel bad...I researched! xDD

I'm completely with you there. I don't even know how people in this manga ever fell in love...Ferio and Fuu met once before they seemed to become involved, Lantis and Hikaru barely had any spotlight and Caldina and Lafarga were seriously pushed away.

Sierra = one of my favorite characters!

Also - anime = more Emeraude/Zagato moments! ♥

I liked Nova...I sympathized with her (I seriously loved her even more when she unwillingly became the driving force for the relationship between Hikaru/Lantis). Debonair was a bad mother! BAD I say!

I always wanted to write in it, but I never seemed to have any good ideas. XD; I did make an effort years ago to start what was going to be an epic, and I looked it over the other day. What I had wasn't too bad, actually, for only being Hikaru musing on things.

**headdesk.** I always kind of wondered how Caldina and Lafarga got involved in the anime (**found them a ... strange couple**), so I imagine it's even more surprising in the manga.

I've thought a lot about Sierra lately. While having her be a mastersmith and in love with Clef too both seemed a little too much like making her a carbon copy of Presea, I'm definitely intrigued by her character. It must have been so hard, keeping up a deception like that.

(It also got me wondering.... Since Clef fed the girls that fable about the dead being restored to life, I wonder if Hikaru would have tried to use her pillar power to do the same thing right before using it to eliminate the pillar system. **doesn't quite remember the course of events at the very end.** o.o But if she could have tried that, and then later she and the others returned to Cephiro and found it hadn't worked/Eagle was still dead/etc. ... oh man. ;__;)

Emeraude/Zagato moments are love. X3

LOL. Now I have a crack icon idea with Debonair and text saying something like "Would not win Parent of the Year."

By the way, I wanted to ask you where you saw that a year had passed in the manga? *curious*

From what I understood, it was a month there as well! ^^;

**gets out manga.** In the front, there's a summary of the first arc, and at the bottom it says "Now we rejoin the girls one year later ..." Plus, in the story itself, I was sure that someone (Fuu?) says it's been a year. But I can't find that part now. XD;

(And it says that all over websites, too....)

I also think that he is 24-25. He looks it. Really.

Might I play devil's advocate here and just say one thing: Clef?

I was thinking of that, actually, which is why I said I could be way off. XD

Word. But I didn't say that Lantis couldn't be around 400 or so himself...I just said what his apparent age was.

Clef's apparent age is 1-12 (while he is actually 745). Lantis's apparent age is 24-25 (the centuries behind him are a mystery though)

That's interesting. I think Lantis IS around 25. He definitely looks like it. XD And as for Hikaru, I think Royalbk is right. I figured a month had passed by, since they were still wearing their winter uniforms. And in one episode of the anime, Hikaru tells Zazu and Geo that she just turned 14 this year, so she is still that age. But at the end of the anime, a year has passed, so she would be 15 in the 9th grade.

I honestly perfer the anime over the manga. The manga was way too short. The only thing I really liked about the manga was the detail in the eyes and the secret behind Mokona.

Sorry for the long comment. ^^;

**nods.** Ah, I think I kind of remember that episode now. ^^

The secret behind Mokona is actually one of the many things I didn't like in the manga; waaay too brain-breaking for me. XD; But the eyes were definitely gorgeous. *___*
